Patricia A. Cleveland, Ph.D. joins Ception Therapeutics as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs
MALVERN, PA – February 5, 2007 – Ception Therapeutics is pleased to announce the addition of Patricia A. Cleveland, Ph.D. as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs.
Dr. Cleveland brings to Ception over 20 years of exceptional global development experience in both small and large company environments with particular strengths in the biological products area. Over the last decade she has provided the regulatory strategic and tactical support for therapeutic and preventative biological products including monoclonal antibodies, counter-terrorism and flu vaccines, eiRNA-based plasmid DNA therapeutics, therapeutic toxins and immuno-stimulants.
Dr. Cleveland began her regulatory career with SmithKline Beecham. During a ten-year time span she provided the lead US regulatory support for recombinant vaccines, both approved and investigational, including submission of the first fully electronic BLA to CBER. She subsequently joined Medeva PLC working with a global team to achieve the license application submissions of a recombinant product into the US, Canada and Europe. With the Celltech/Medeva merger in 2000 she assumed the role of VP of Regulatory Affairs, North American, providing the regulatory support for both the US Pharmaceutical and global R&D organizations. During this time she provided the senior global oversight for investigational biological products including two anti-TNF biological products. She later provided regulatory consultancy to a variety of programs and served as the VP Regulatory Affairs for a therapeutic toxin company, before joining Ception Therapeutics.

Dr. Cleveland holds a B.S. Pharm., M.S. Pharmaceutics and a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences. She is a Registered Pharmacist and a member of DIA and RAPS.
